Financial concerns about dental treatment are a major consideration for everyone. At the office of Dr. Katie To, we believe that everyone is entitled to the best possible dental care, and we don’t want you to have to put off necessary dental treatment because of cost.
We’ll work with you to find solutions that make it as easy as possible for you to receive the services you need without stressing out about finances. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our patient care specialists for more information.
Insurance
Our team are happy to help you maximize any dental benefits you may have. We are an out-of-network provider for all dental benefit companies. How this works is we have our patients pay up front for all services, we file the claims for you as long as you have a PPO plan with out-of-network benefits, and then the benefit company will send you a check in the mail for however much they will help towards your services. We recommend reaching out to your benefit company for further details on what services they will help with.
Our highly knowledgeable business team is exceptional at navigating this process to make it as simple as possible for our patients. Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees regardless of your insurance carrier.
Other Payment Options
You can pay for your office visits and any treatments with cash, check, and credit or debit card at the time of service. All credit card charges will have a surcharge of 3.5%. If you wish to avoid this surcharge, be sure to use a debit card, HSA/FSA, cash, check or Care Credit card.
CareCredit
If you don’t have insurance or are interested in making the cost of your dental treatment more affordable, CareCredit is an option to consider. CareCredit allows you the flexibility of breaking down your total due into easy monthly payments. Best of all, as long as you pay the balance within the agreed promotional period, you won’t be charged any interest. Applying for CareCredit is easy, and a member of our team will be happy to assist you, or you can apply online at the CareCredit website.
Digital x-rays are one of the most important new advances that our profession has seen in quite some time.
Dr. Katie will determine what your x-ray schedule should be based on a review of your caries risk assessment (cavity risk), your dental history, as well as your current state of oral health.
Dental x-rays emit very small amounts of radiation while images are taken, but as always, our highly trained team takes the appropriate measures to ensure you and your family are safe! Finding and treating dental problems at an early stage can save time, money, and often, unnecessary discomfort.
X-rays also help Dr. Katie see decay in between your teeth. A tricky area we can't see with the naked eye. It is important to know that dental x-ray equipment is examined and inspected by the State of Texas on a yearly basis for safety. We are always here to answer any questions you might have.
We also offer a homeopathic that you can take after x-rays.
Yes we do! Once a plan for your treatment is made we can discuss financing options with you. We have in house financing options as well as third party options. We will offer you the options that will best meet your treatment and financial needs.
We do partner with Care Credit which is a big help to patients in getting their treatment done without having to pay everything at once. They offer no interest payments for as long as 6 months. If you would like more information on Care Credit, please visit their website www.carecredit.com.
We do accept credit cards as payment and please note their is a 3.5% service charge. When you use a debit card, cash, or check there is no service fee.

The ADA standard of care is to get your teeth cleaned once every six months if your risk for cavities is low and you do not have other medical conditions that can create more bacteria and infection in your gums. Upon getting your dental exam it may be determined that you need more frequent dental visits to have the most optimum oral health. Such as if you have systemic health conditions that increase your chance of getting cavities and gum disease (a common disease that requires extra care is diabetes).
Once your risk level is determined we can explain and work with you to create a dental check-up schedule that best works for you and your health! Our goal to make sure that we not only take care of your teeth and gums, but your overall health. Research shows us that your oral health is heavily connected to the rest of your body. Getting proper dental care can improve your wellbeing in ways you might not expect!
Our highly skilled and educated team can help you to identify if there are any risk factors that might impact your oral or overall health. We look forward to taking care of you!
