Dr. Rosalie Nguyen, DDS, MS

Board-Certified Periodontist

Born in California and raised in New Orleans, Dr. Rosalie Gulla has always been drawn to both science and service. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana and went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 2014.

Following dental school, she relocated to Houston, Texas, where she completed her Master of Science in Periodontics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Dentistry. As a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Gulla specializes in periodontics and dental implant surgery.

During her residency, she conducted research on risk factors associated with dental implant failure and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor, teaching both pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students the art and science of surgical care. She remains active in professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Southwest Society of Periodontists, and the Houston Asian Dental Society, where she has served as Continuing Education Coordinator for almost a decade.

Currently, Dr. Gulla practices as a periodontal associate at Dental Specialists of Westchase, Adore Dentistry, and Dr. Katie To Dental Center. She holds dental licenses in both Texas and Louisiana, is Level III certified in sedation, and is fluent in English and conversational Vietnamese.

Rooted in mindfulness and gratitude, Dr. Gulla brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work. She believes true healing begins with awareness—of the body, the mind, and the connection we share with others. Her approach blends precision and presence, viewing dentistry not just as treatment, but as a mindful craft that nurtures both health and wholeness.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gulla finds joy in traveling, reading, and spending time with her family. As a mother, she is continually inspired by her daughter, who reminds her daily of the beauty of presence and the purpose found in care.
